# Transaction declined - Account Funding Transactions (AFT)

Certain cross-border money movements including Account Funding Transactions (AFTS) are restricted to ensure compliance and mitigate fraud risks. AFTs facilitate operations such as moving money between accounts, topping up prepaid cards or wallets, and making person-to-person payments.
**Transactions sent as AFTs from Indian-issued cards to non-Indian merchant accounts, and from non-US issued cards to US merchant accounts, will be blocked.**
The error message for the decline is:
`The transaction could not be completed due to restrictions regarding cross-border account funding transactions...`
### **What can I do?**
If you believe that your Stripe account has been misclassified and you aren't processing AFTs, provide Support a recent payment invoice and request a review of your account.
### **What is the purpose of these blocks?**
These geo blocks are intended to prevent unauthorized or high-risk international money transfers, safeguarding the financial ecosystem and adhering to local and international regulations.
