Stripe Terminal’s current card readers include Stripe Reader S700, BBPOS WisePOS E, Stripe Reader M2, and BBPOS WisePad 3. We have no current plans to retire these readers.

Timeline of end of life for previously sold readers

Verifone P400

• September 14, 2021: no new Stripe orders possible, no new feature updates
• October 1, 2024: end of life, Stripe transactions no longer allowed, the reader will no longer receive customer support or critical software updates. This applies to all countries where the reader is in use with Stripe Terminal.

BBPOS Chipper 2X*

• Jan 31, 2022: no new Stripe orders possible.

*This applies to BBPOS Chipper 2X readers purchased and processing via Stripe Terminal.
