# Submit a Terminal card reader warranty claim

Stripe offers a [one-year limited warranty](https://stripe.com/legal/terminal-purchase) on all card reader hardware purchased through Stripe Terminal.
If your card reader is broken, malfunctioning, or has a hardware issue:
* **Users in Norway, Switzerland, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, or Singapore**: [Contact us](/contact?email=true&subject=Volume+Pricing+for+Terminal+Readers) from the Stripe account that placed the original hardware order. Include the serial number of your device and a description of the issue in your warranty replacement claim.
* **Users in other countries where Terminal is supported**: [Submit a warranty claim](https://docs.stripe.com/terminal/fleet/submitting-warranty-claim) in the Dashboard.
If your platform placed the hardware order, you can submit warranty claims from your platform Dashboard.
If the hardware order was placed by a connected account, platforms can submit a warranty claim on their behalf by using the Dashboard **Login as** feature to access their account and submitting the claim from there.
Team members with [Administrator and Terminal Specialist roles](https://docs.stripe.com/get-started/account/teams/roles) can submit warranty claims from the Stripe account that was used to place the hardware order.
