Stripe User Terms Update - November 11, 2024 - United States

What's changing?

As referenced here, below is a summary of the most notable changes to the terms:

  1. General Terms. We’ve clarified the notifications when we modify our services, clarified the parties’ responsibilities for third party fines, and clarified that there is no joint development of IP. We’ve also implemented a terminology change and now refer to Preview instead of Beta services.
  2. Stripe Data Pipeline Terms. We have provided greater clarity on roles and responsibilities between you, Stripe, and the third party data warehouse.
  3. Stripe Issuing Terms. We’ve updated the Stripe Issuing Accountholder Terms and Stripe Issuing Platform Terms to provide details on Stripe’s remedies to properly manage risks.

Since we last updated our General Terms, we’ve also added sections to our Stripe Connect Services Terms to cover new services such as attribute-based connected account types, Stripe Managed Risk Services, and the IRS Form 1099 Services. We’ve also added terms for the new Stripe Vault and Forward Service.
