# Serial numbers for Terminal devices

This article covers how to find the serial number for each Stripe Terminal card reader. The serial number is located on the back of every reader, and some readers also display it in the Dashboard
## Stripe Reader M2
The serial number is listed in small letters on the back of the reader in the second line of text after "SN". You can also find the reader serial number after connecting to the reader using the iOS and Android example app. The serial number begins with the prefix **STRM2**.
## BBPOS WisePad 3
The serial number is printed on the back of the reader. It begins with **WPC** and is printed on the second line of text beginning with "S/N". Not to be confused with "HW No." on the third line.
## Stripe Reader S700/S710
The serial number is listed on the back of the reader above the magnetic pins where it says "SN". It begins with **STR7** followed by letters and digits. If you have a DevKit version of the S700, the serial number begins with **SDR7**. You can also find the reader serial number in the Dashboard when viewing readers for a specific location or the list of ungrouped readers.
## BBPOS WisePOS E
The serial number is listed on a sticker on the back of the reader. It begins with **WSC** followed by 12 digits and is printed on the second line of text beginning with "S/N". Not to be confused with "HW No." on the third line. You can also find the reader serial number in the Dashboard when viewing readers for a specific location or the list of ungrouped readers.
