Receiving USD and NZD payouts for Australia users

I want to receive USD / NZD Payouts how do I get started?

Currently, we are serving a limited number of businesses in Australia with USD and NZD payouts, supporting all connected account types.

Here’s what you need to get started:

  1. Complete your account activation.
  2. Go to the payouts page and add a USD / NZD bank account, noting the associated fees** for doing so. Note that the bank account added has to be based in Australia.Img_1.png
  3. After this, if you wish to, you can set either currency as the default settlement bank for your account in the payouts page.
  4. Finally, you can refer to the settlement currencies page, to see the currencies that have been enabled for your account.img_2.png
  5. Note that if you are a Connect Platform creating destination charges, your application fees will be collected in the default currency of your Connected Accounts. If you wish to enable alternative currency payouts for your Connected Accounts, contact support.

**To view the appropriate fees for your country, please select “Australia” in the bottom left corner of the page.

I can’t add a USD / NZD bank account.

There are a few possible reasons this is happening:

  1. You are attempting to add a USD / NZD bank account during Account Activation.

Currently, you won’t be able to add a USD / NZD bank account for Australian merchants during the account activation stage. You will only be able to add a USD / NZD bank account after account activation.

For now, please add a locally denominated (i.e. AUD) bank account. After this, please go through the steps listed in “I want to receive USD / NZD Payouts. How do I get started?” above.

  1. Your USD bank account is not based in Australia , or is a Wise, Airwallex, Virtual, or Neobank account.

We’re only able to support USD / NZD bank accounts based in Australia and currently do not support virtual bank accounts such as Wise for this feature.

How can I change my default payout currency? How can I change my default payout bank account?

  1. Please ensure that your settlement currency is enabled here.
  2. You will then be able to change your default currency and default bank account in the payouts page.

Will this affect my payout schedule?

Your payout schedule will remain the same. Note that automatic payouts have a minimum payout amount of US$1000 and NZ$1500, and manual payouts have a minimum payout amount of US$100 and NZ$100.

Am I able to switch back to AUD if I no longer wish to receive USD / NZD?

Yes you can! Simply disable USD settlement by heading over to the payouts page, and click "Change Default Currency", and change your default currency back to "AUD".

Note: As it takes some time for this setting to be updated, please do not disconnect your USD/NZD account until your USD/NZD balance has been fully paid out. You can check your balances under balances overview.
