Stripe conducts account reviews to protect businesses and their customers, ensuring businesses remain in good health over time. If your payouts have been paused or Stripe has asked for additional business information, see recommendations on what documentation to provide below.
What documents should you upload?
If you received a request to submit additional business information, upload as much of the following relevant documentation as possible via your Dashboard.
Itemized Customer Invoices: An itemized invoice is a document that is used to provide an itemized statement for a client when goods and/or services are purchased. Each item or service must be listed per line.
Recent bank statements or statements from your prior payment processor.
If you sell physical products:
Including merchandise, apparel, tangible goods.
- Photographs of inventory: Three non-stock photos that clearly show the products you’re selling (don’t include photos of sealed boxes) and illustrate the typical quantity you keep in stock. Include a sheet of paper with the date the photos were taken.
- Purchase orders and/or tracking numbers of the shipments from supplier(s) within the last 60 days: Business address must be clearly identified.
If you're a non-profit or NGO:
These typically include public charities, political organizations, legal aid societies, volunteer services organizations, museums, etc.
- U.S. non-profit - 501C IRS determination letter: Download copies of original determination letters (issued January 1, 2014 and later) using IRS’s on-line search tool Tax Exempt Organization Search (TEOS).
- Outside U.S. non-profit: Local government identification of the non-profit or non-governmental organization.

These document reviews are a required step as a condition of processing for our users. Providing this information in a timely manner helps reduce delays that could impact your business.
