# Prohibited phrases in UK payout statement descriptors

As part of [Faster Payment System](https://www.wearepay.uk/what-we-do/payment-systems/faster-payment-system/) guidelines in the UK, Stripe is required to block payout statement descriptors containing profanities. If profanities remain in your statement descriptor after October 1, 2024 Stripe may pause payouts on your account.
