Stripe Terminal allows you accept payments with intermittent, limited, or no internet connectivity using the Offline payment preview. You, as the user, assume all decline risk of the transaction.

When working with one of our smart readers, both the reader and the point of sale device must be connected to the internet to process payments.

When working with a mobile card reader, the reader leverages the internet connection from your point of sale device using Bluetooth Low Energy to communicate with Stripe. The point of sale device must be connected to the internet to process payments.
