As of October 2023, online retailers and payment service providers must present available payment methods in the following order to consumers in Finland:
Payment methods that do not involve applying for credit, using credit, or deferring payment (such as immediate online payment where consumers' accounts are debited right away, and debit card payments).
Methods that may involve applying for credit, using credit, or deferring payment.
Methods that necessarily involve applying for credit, using credit, or deferring payment.
