# Payment method configurations for Managed Payments

## Available payment methods
Merchants using [Managed Payments](https://docs.stripe.com/payments/managed-payments) can offer the following payment methods to sell globally, regardless of their own business location. Other payment method restrictions may still apply, such as customer location and transaction type. ## Payment method configurations
### Cards, Apple Pay, and Link configurations
Cards, Apple Pay, and Link are automatically enabled as payment methods for Managed Payments and cannot be disabled.
### Starting January 30, 2026
* Google Pay, Cash App Pay, Korean cards, Kakao Pay, Naver Pay, Samsung Pay, PAYCO, Pix, UPI, and Bancontact are automatically enabled for new and existing businesses on Managed Payments.
* Klarna and Cash App Afterpay, popular Buy Now Pay Later payment methods, aren't automatically enabled, though we recommend turning them on to [increase revenue](https://stripe.com/blog/testing-the-impact-of-buy-now-pay-later). To opt in to Klarna and Cash App Afterpay, reach out to the Managed Payments support team.
  * Klarna is only available for US customers or USD transactions.
### Configuring payment method settings
There is no way to turn off these payment methods for Managed Payments from the Stripe Dashboard.
Payment method settings (excluding cards, Link, and Apple Pay, which cannot be disabled) can be configured by the Managed Payments support team.
The following settings are available through our Support team:
* Enable all local payment methods, except Klarna and Cash App Afterpay. This is the default setting effective January 30, 2026.
* Enable all local payment methods.
* Disable all local payment methods.
## Stripe Dashboard view
When onboarded on Stripe Managed Payments, a dedicated **Default Stripe Managed Payments account** payment method configuration (PMC) is automatically added to the **Payment methods** tab in **Settings → Payments** in your Stripe Dashboard. This PMC cannot be edited directly — to onboard or offboard payment methods, contact Stripe Support.

Common Payment Methods Configurations displayed:
- **Default configuration for your account** — Includes payment methods enabled for transactions that do not use Managed Payments. This configuration can be edited directly from the Dashboard.
- **Default Stripe Managed Payments configuration** — Includes payment methods enabled for Managed Payments transactions. This configuration cannot be edited from the Dashboard. To update payment method settings for Managed Payments, contact Stripe Support requesting one of the Sets outlined in the **Configuring payment method settings** paragraph above.
