# Payment method configurations for Managed Payments

## Available payment methods
Merchants using [Managed Payments](https://docs.stripe.com/payments/managed-payments) can offer the following payment methods to sell globally, regardless of where their business is located. Additional restrictions may apply based on customer location and transaction type — see [supported payment methods](https://docs.stripe.com/payments/managed-payments/how-it-works#supported-payment-methods) for details.

## Payment method configurations
### Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link
Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link are automatically enabled as payment methods for Managed Payments and cannot be disabled.
### Local payment methods
The following local payment methods are automatically enabled for all new and existing Managed Payments businesses: _Cash App Pay, Korean cards, Kakao Pay, Naver Pay, Samsung Pay, PAYCO, Pix, UPI, and Bancontact_.
_Klarna_ and _Cash App Afterpay_ are **not** automatically enabled. These Buy Now Pay Later methods can [increase revenue](https://stripe.com/blog/testing-the-impact-of-buy-now-pay-later) and are available on request — contact [Support](https://support.stripe.com/contact) to opt in.
Klarna is only available to US customers for USD Managed Payments.
### Configuring payment method settings
Payment method settings for Managed Payments cannot be changed directly from the Stripe Dashboard. To request a change, contact [Support](https://support.stripe.com/contact).
The following configurations are available:
* **Local payment methods (default)** — All local payment methods enabled except Klarna and Cash App Afterpay.
* **All local payment methods** — All local payment methods enabled, including Klarna and Cash App Afterpay.
* **No local payment methods** — All local payment methods disabled. Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link remain active and cannot be disabled.
## Stripe Dashboard view
After onboarding on Managed Payments, a **Default Stripe Managed Payments account** payment method configuration (PMC) is automatically added to the **Payment methods** tab under **Settings → Payments** in your Stripe Dashboard. This PMC is read-only — to add or remove payment methods, contact [Support](https://support.stripe.com/contact).

**Common Payment Method Configurations displayed in the Dashboard**:
- **Default configuration for your account** — Payment methods enabled for non-Managed Payments transactions. This configuration can be edited directly from the Dashboard.
- **Default Stripe Managed Payments configuration** — Payment methods enabled for Managed Payments transactions. This configuration is read-only. To update it, contact [Support](https://support.stripe.com/contact) and reference the options in the **Configuring payment method settings** section above.
