# Pay with UPI on Link

[Link](https://stripe.com/payments/link) provides Indian buyers the ability to pay using [ Unified Payments Interface (UPI)](https://stripe.com/payment-method/upi) a real-time payment method during checkout.
### How do UPI payments on Link work?
Buyers will see a UPI payment method option on a merchant checkout page. After selecting UPI, they visit their preferred UPI app to authenticate and complete the payment.
UPI payments made through Link are instantly guaranteed. Similar to other Link or Link transactions, once the payment is approved, the full amount of the order is made available immediately to your Stripe account. See [UPI payment terms](https://stripe.com/legal/upi).
### How do I enable this experience?
UPI on Link is automatically available to eligible Link merchants. No integration changes are required.
### How do I opt out?
To disable UPI, you must disable Link as a payment method in the [Dashboard](https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/link).
### What Link payments are eligible for UPI?
For merchants with UPI on Link enabled, customers must have Indian rupee as their currency presentment alongside an Indian IP address to see UPI on Link as an option for on-session, single-use payments.
UPI payments on Link aren't supported for:
* Payment method set-up for off-session usage
* Subscriptions or recurring payments
### What will my customers see?
New customers will see an option to pay using UPI during checkout and will be required to create a Link account. After adding their information they will either be shown a QR code to scan on desktop, or redirected to a UPI app selector on mobile, letting them choose from their preferred UPI-compatible banking app.
For customers who have previously connected their UPI account with Link, checking out is even simpler. They’ll see their payment details autofilled and can checkout in one click.
### Can my customers pay without signing up for Link?
As UPI is being offered as part of the Link wallet, your customers are automatically signed up to Link as part of the checkout flow. If buyers do not wish to create a Link account, they can select an alternative payment method.
### What will I see in the Stripe Dashboard?
UPI transactions processed via Link are attributed to Link in your dashboard.
