Pausing payouts for Stripe accounts in India

To comply with local Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations, Stripe performs automated verifications on the data you provided when creating your Stripe account. For a variety of reasons, the automated verification did not succeed in your case. This could be due to the database downtime, minor mismatches in entity names (e.g. Pvt vs. Private, Ltd. vs. Limited), or other technical issues.

Beyond a certain threshold, this will lead to your payouts being paused until we receive a soft copy of the necessary documents. During this time, be assured that there will be no disruption in your ability to collect payments.

To correct, upload the necessary documentations by clicking on the link provided in the email we have sent you. We accept these documents to validate your information:

For India merchants with a Paytm Payments Bank Ltd (PPBL) bank account linked for payouts, please do note that from March 15, 2024 onwards, you will no longer be able to receive payouts. In order to resume payouts, kindly change your linked bank account here. More information on this can be found in the RBI's press release here.
