My connected account hasn’t received the invitation email for Stripe Express dashboard access
To check the status of a pre-confirmation email for a connected account, click on the connected account in your Dashboard and look for Pre-filing confirmation.
The pre-filing confirmation property will have one of the following statuses:
- Queued: This connected account is in the queue and we’ll send their pre-filing confirmation email soon.
- Sent: We’ve already sent this connected account their pre-filing confirmation email. The connected account should have an email titled “Action required to receive your 2024 tax forms” in their inbox, or potentially their spam folder. If they are still unable to locate it, verify with the connected account that the email address listed is correct.

Not eligible: This connected account isn’t eligible for inclusion in pre-filing confirmation. The account may not be eligible because:
- The account is missing an email address or other payee details.
- The account is under the 1099 reporting threshold.
- The account’s configuration excludes it from eligibility. See Edge Cases for more information.
- Not Sent: This connected account is eligible, but wasn’t sent an invite prior to the cutoff date for pre-filing confirmation. See Tax season 2024 checklist item 2 Prepare for Stripe outreach to your connected accounts for more details.
Send a pre-filing confirmation email
If you would like to send your connected account a pre-filing confirmation email:
- From your Dashboard, click on the connected account.
- Verify the email address is accurate. If you update the email address, it will be used as the primary email address for that connected account.
- Learn more about other ways to update emails for your accounts.
- Click the ellipsis icon in the upper-right corner.
- Click Request pre-filing confirmation.
- Click Yes, send request.
Platform and connected accounts can resend a link by visiting How do I get a new invite link to set up my Stripe Express account to access my tax forms?. The email address entered must match the one associated with their Stripe account.
