# Migrating existing Australia BECS direct debit mandates to Stripe

If you already accept Australia BECS debits from your customers, you're not required to collect a new mandate or Direct Debit Request (DDR) from your customers. You can use our API to create reusable `PaymentMethods` with the bank information already collected from your customers. This allows you to continue charging customers without interruption or having to ask for their payment details again.
At least 30 days prior to the first debit through Stripe, you must:
* Notify your customers that their existing Direct Debit Request (DDR) and [Direct Debit Request Service Agreement (DDRSA)](https://stripe.com/au-becs-dd-service-agreement/legal) will be updated.
* Provide your customers with a link to the new Direct Debit Service Agreement (DDR SA).
