Launch of Radar Terms

U.S. - May 9, 2022

In order to provide greater transparency to our users, we have launched terms which apply to your use of the Stripe Radar Service. The terms are intended to better reflect our obligations and expectations with regard to use of Radar. The Radar Terms are effective immediately for US-based Stripe users who sign up to our Stripe Services Agreement on or after May 9, 2022 and for existing US-based Radar for Fraud Team Stripe users via Dashboard notification.

What’s included in these terms?

  • The new Radar Terms describe the basic rights and limitations with respect to the Stripe Radar Service and clarify the purpose for which the service may be used (i.e., to help detect, evaluate and block potentially fraudulent transactions for Stripe’s business users).
  • The Radar Terms make clear that users are responsible for their use of the Stripe Radar Service, and the decisions they make and actions they take in connection with the service.
  • We also make clear that Stripe Radar Service users must fully disclose to their customers the types of data Stripe collects and uses as part of the Radar Service. We also provide suggested disclosure language that users can surface to their customers about this data collection and use. This will help both users and Stripe meet their privacy law obligations.
