Language recognition for invoices with Stripe Billing

The Stripe-hosted invoice payment page will automatically check a customer’s browser settings to determine their set default language. If it is a supported language, the invoice will be presented in that language.

Additional Information

  • If you have manually set the user’s language to English but their browser settings are set to French, Stripe will prioritize the browser settings for the payment page and translate the page to French but will leave the PDF and email in the original language of your choice.

  • Stripe does not translate custom fields within the invoice.

  • The Stripe-hosted invoice payment page and invoice emails don’t currently support Arabic and Hebrew—only the invoice PDF supports them.
