The requirements and responsibility of submitting "Know Your Customer" (KYC) information is different depending on your Connect integration.

Connected accounts that have gone through Stripe-hosted onboarding

The account holder is responsible for submitting the required information from their Dashboard, not the platform.

Connected accounts that have not gone through Stripe-hosted onboarding

The platform is required to collect KYC information for the account holders of the account and submit that information using the Stripe API.
