# Change an existing Stripe password

### Stripe Dashboard users
* If you know your Stripe password but want to change it, you can do so in the [Personal details section](https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/user) of the dashboard by clicking **Change Password**.
* If you have forgotten your Stripe password, you can [reset your password here](https://dashboard.stripe.com/reset).
### Express dashboard users
* Express Stripe accounts don’t have passwords, and instead rely on a 6-digit phone verification code to log in.
* If you’ve lost or updated your phone number, refer to further troubleshooting steps
### Custom dashboard users
* This means your business is connected to a platform that uses Stripe to process payments, but that platform fully controls your account and dashboard experience.
* Use that platform to access your account dashboard.
* If you require any support with your dashboard or Stripe account, reach out to your platform directly.
