# I can't find a matching address in the list after entering the postal code in Japan

When you activate your Stripe account for live payments, you need to provide your address.
Start by entering your postal code, a list of candidate addresses appears, each showing the city, ward, town, village, and chome. Select the matching address, then complete the remaining information: **Block number** and **Building & Room Number** fields.
In rare cases, your exact address may not appear in the list.
For example, when you enter postal code 380-0813 for Nagano City Hall ("長野県長野市大字鶴賀緑町１６１３"), the list shows "長野県長野市鶴賀緑町" instead, without the "大字" (Oaza) prefix.

Stripe's address database omits geographic prefixes such as Oaza (おおあざ), Aza (あざ), and Koaza (こあざ). If your address includes one of these prefixes and doesn't appear exactly as expected, select the version without the prefix.
