# Funding your UK financial account

Your UK financial account holds GBP and can receive funds via two methods: Faster Payments and CHAPS. Both are initiated by you from your external bank account. For more details on how each payment method works, see UK payment methods for funding your financial account.
## Finding your UK financial account details
1. In the Stripe Dashboard, go to **Balances** > **Financial account**.
1. Select **Account details**.
1. You will see your sort code (6 digits, format: XX-XX-XX) and account number (8 digits).
Share these details with any bank sending you funds. They appear as a standard UK bank account to the sender.

### Does Stripe charge a fee for receiving FPS or CHAPS payments?
Stripe doesn't charge a fee to receive FPS or CHAPS payments into your financial account. Your sending bank may charge a fee for outbound CHAPS transfers; check with your bank.
### How do I know if my payment has arrived?
You'll see it reflected in your Stripe financial account balance in the Dashboard. You can also set up balance notifications in Dashboard settings.
### What happens if I send a CHAPS payment after the cutoff?
Your bank will typically reject the payment or hold it until the next business day. Contact your bank directly to confirm their handling of after-hours CHAPS submissions.
### Can I receive payments in currencies other than GBP?
Your UK financial account holds GBP. Payments sent in a foreign currency will either be rejected or converted depending on the sending bank's behavior. To receive EUR, use your EU financial account and SEPA.
### My FPS payment hasn't arrived after 30 minutes. What should I do?
FPS is typically instant but can occasionally be delayed by the sending bank's processing. Check with your sending bank first. If the payment was confirmed as sent and has not arrived after 2 hours, contact Stripe support with the payment reference from your bank.
