# Fulfill a balance confirmation request by an external audit firm

**Note to auditors:** Don't contact Stripe directly. To protect user privacy and security, we are unable to disclose user information to third parties. The Stripe account holder must contact Stripe support on your behalf.
The best way to work with an audit firm is to provide a **View Only** guest login to your dashboard. They will have access to the most detailed financial data of your business from the Reporting tab.
To invite an external member with **View Only** access, see Invite team members or developers to access your Stripe account.
After a member is invited to your dashboard:
1. Log into the Stripe dashboard and navigate to [Balance Summary Reports](https://dashboard.stripe.com/reports/balance).
1. Confirm the report is showing the information for the correct Stripe account by checking the dropdown that displays a Stripe account name or connected accounts for a Connect platform.
1. Set time range from the dropdown.
1. View balance result.
1. If needed, click **Print** to download or print the report for the selected dates.
After an audit firm has completed their investigation, you can repeat the same initial step to remove their login access from the [Business Settings](https://dashboard.stripe.com/account/team).
For more on inviting users and team members to a Stripe account, see [Teams and User Roles](https://stripe.com/docs/dashboard/teams).
