# Fee discount for nonprofit organizations

Stripe offers discounted processing fees for eligible nonprofit organizations that primarily accept donations. This pricing is available in select regions and applies only to accounts used primarily for receiving donations, not for selling products or tickets. By accepting these rates, your organization agrees to use the Stripe account mainly for donation processing.

## Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for nonprofit pricing, your organization must meet all of the following requirements:
* Registered nonprofit status: Your organization is registered as a nonprofit and has valid tax documentation confirming that status.
* Supported region: Your organization operates in one of the eligible regions listed above.
* Donation-based volume: At least 80% of your Stripe payment volume comes from tax-deductible donations.
### Payment types that don't qualify
The following payment types don't count toward the 80% donation threshold:
* Membership fees
* Tuition payments
* Ticket sales
* Registration fees
* Auction payments

## Sign in or create an account
* Existing Stripe users: Clicking the contact form link prompts you to sign in. Use the login credentials for the account you want to enable for nonprofit pricing.
* New to Stripe: Create an account by providing the required information and documentation. After your account is activated, return to the support link above and sign in.
## Complete the contact form
After you sign in, you can access the [contact form](https://support.stripe.com/contact/email?email=true&subject=Non+Profit+pricing&refcode=Tc9r). Include the following details and attach the required documents:
* Account ID — Your Stripe account identifier.
* Registered email address — The email associated with your Stripe account.
* Donation volume confirmation — A statement confirming that over 80% of your payment volume comes from tax-deductible donations.
* Tax registration details — For example, your EIN or IRS confirmation letter for 501(c)(3) status.
* Tax-exempt documentation — Valid tax documentation verifying your nonprofit status.
