# Dual price indication requirements for customers in Bulgaria

This article is provided for general information purposes and should not be construed as legal advice. If you have further questions that are specific to your business, we recommend that you speak to a legal advisor.
On 1 January 2026, Bulgaria will join the Eurozone and change its currency from the Lev (BGN) to the Euro (EUR). As part of this transition, Bulgaria has enacted the "Introduction of the Euro in the Republic of Bulgaria Act". This legislation sets out several mandatory requirements for businesses, including the requirement that Bulgarian businesses selling to customers in Bulgaria display prices in both BGN and EUR, using the fixed exchange rate of 1.95583 BGN to 1 EUR. The dual pricing requirements come into effect on 8 August 2025 and will remain in place until 1 January 2027.
You should update your integration to display prices in both BGN and EUR to customers in Bulgaria from 8 August 2025, and collect payments in EUR from 1 January 2026.
If you have any questions specific to your business and how this new legal requirement impacts you, you may want to reach out to your legal advisor for guidance.
