# Download SOC Reports

The [Compliance & Documents](https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/compliance/download/pci) section of the Dashboard lets you download SOC reports and other security assurance documents directly. You don't need to contact Stripe Support or sign a separate NDA.
## How to download SOC reports
1. In the [Compliance & Documents](https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/compliance/download/pci) section of the Dashboard, navigate to the **Stripe documents** tab.
1. You may be prompted to agree to terms and conditions (T&Cs) before downloading.
Your downloaded document will include a watermark with the T&Cs agreement
date and time and your account details. Only individuals with Owner or Administrator Dashboard permissions can access the reports.
## SOC report types
A SOC (Service Organization Control) report is an independent third-party examination of a service organization's internal controls and processes. These reports provide assurance about the effectiveness of controls relevant to financial reporting, security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
Stripe issues 3 different types of SOC reports: SOC 1 Type II, SOC 2 Type II, and SOC 3.
### SOC Type II reports
Both SOC 1 and SOC 2 are Type II reports. They cover the design and operating effectiveness of key controls over a 6–12 month period, and include a description of controls provided by Stripe management, attesting that controls are suitably designed and operating effectively.
- **SOC 1:** Focuses on internal controls relevant to financial reporting.
- **SOC 2:** Focuses on controls related to the Trust Services Criteria: security, availability, and confidentiality.
### SOC 3
A public-facing report that provides a high-level summary of the SOC 2 examination. No NDA required.
### Bridge Letters
In addition to the SOC reports, Stripe also provides a bridge letter in the Dashboard to bridge the gap between the date of our last issued SOC report and a future date SOC report.
For example, if the last issued SOC reports were for 2025/26, Stripe will issue 2 bridge letters signed by the management:
For the period April 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026:
* To be issued by early July 2026.
* This bridge letter would be used by users along with the SOC report for the period April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026.
For the period October 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026:
* To be issued by mid-January 2027.
* This bridge letter would be used by users along with the SOC report for the period October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026.
