# Customer email receipt required in Thailand

In line with local regulations, Stripe Thailand is required to email payment receipts to your customers for payments processed through Stripe.
### What do I need to do?
Turn on the “Successful payments” receipt function **by December 22, 2024** to avoid disruption to your payment services.
### How do I turn on the "Successful Payments" function?
Go to the [Settings page on your Dashboard](https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings) and locate **Business Settings.** Select the **Customer Emails** tab and toggle **Successful payments** to “On.”
### Why do I need to enable the function?
You must enable the receipt function by December 22, 2024 to ensure compliance with regulations set by the Bank of Thailand. Under the regulations, Stripe Thailand is required to issue receipts to your buyers/consumers.
### What happens if I don't enable the function by the deadline?
If you don’t enable the function by December 22, 2024, Stripe Thailand, at its discretion, will enable the function for you.
In the unlikely scenario that your account is not compliant with the receipt issuance requirements, we may exercise our right to suspend and/or terminate our services as outlined in Section A, Clause 10 (Termination) of the Stripe Service Agreement.
