Definitions

  • New users deadline: The date by which you’ll need to have updated your onboarding flow to meet the updated requirements for newly onboarding connected accounts. Failure to meet the updated requirements by the set deadline will prevent new users from being able to accept payments.
  • Existing users deadline: The date by which you’ll need to have resolved all future_requirements for your existing connected accounts (accounts created before the new users deadline). This date will trigger all outstanding future_requirements to become current requirements. If an account doesn't provide the required information by the due date, their ability to accept payments and receive payouts will be paused. Typically, the timeframe to provide updated information is 14 days from the due date to continue receiving payouts, and 28 days to continue accepting payments.

Keep your accounts compliant

When we notify you about updated requirements for a particular country, you’ll see an overview of the actions needed and their associated deadlines on your Stripe Dashboard. Follow documentation on handling verification updates to ensure your accounts are compliant.
