### How does Stripe set the exchange rate?
Stripe applies the mid-market rate based on pricing data from third-party service providers. This ensures that you're getting a competitive and fair exchange rate for your currency conversions.
### What do I do if the exchange rate changes after I initiate a conversion?
Once you've initiated a conversion, the exchange rate is locked in for that transaction. The conversion happens instantly, so you don't need to worry about rate fluctuations between initiating and completing the conversion. Always review the conversion fee and exchange rate before confirming the transaction.
### Can I cancel an exchange?
No, currency conversions cannot be cancelled once they are confirmed. The process is instant, so there's no window for cancellation after you've confirmed the transaction.
### I accidentally completed a currency conversion exchange. Can I convert back without incurring FX fees again?
Unfortunately, there's no way to reverse a conversion without incurring additional fees. If you need to convert back to the original currency, you'll need to initiate a new conversion, which will be subject to the standard conversion fee of 0.5% of the converted amount
