# Changes to some user-onboarding flows

From February 5, 2024, we are making some changes to how we onboard new users in order to ensure our long-term product offering and onboarding processes are in line with the specific needs of businesses involved in cross border commerce.
As a result, there will be an impact to some new customers in the Asia Pacific region. If you are an existing Stripe user, there is no impact to your Stripe account.

**How will I know if my Stripe account is impacted?**
Existing Stripe user accounts are not impacted by these changes. However, we actively review and audit all Stripe accounts regularly to ensure they are compliant with our [Terms of Service](https://stripe.com/legal/ssa). Accounts impacted by these reviews will be notified directly.
**What is the impact to Platforms using Stripe Connect?**
Platforms currently using Stripe Connect are not impacted by these changes. Please reach out to your Stripe representative if you have any questions specific to your business.
**When will Stripe be able to support my business?**
We’re working hard to scale our services to support more businesses as soon as possible. We will share an update when our services are ready.
