Can I invite other team members or my developer to join my Stripe account?

Yes! Here’s a quick demo:

User roles allow you to invite members of your team to access a Stripe account without giving them access to sensitive information (such as your banking details), or actions that you may want to restrict (such as processing a new payment or refunding an existing payment). You can manage your team within your Stripe account’s Business Settings in the Dashboard.

Stripe offers five user roles:

Administrator gives you access to everything. You can see API keys, change settings, invite new users, and so on.

Developer gives you access to nearly everything, except for the ability to add or remove team members to your Stripe account, update your bank account, or edit transfer settings.

Analyst lets you edit and create data, but account settings are strictly off limits. You can refund a payment or make a new one, but you can’t change the bank account or access API keys.

Support Specialist lets you edit and create payments (including the ability to issue refunds and respond to disputes), but does not allow you to view summarized financial reports, aggregate payment information, or inspect payouts from Stripe to your bank account. Support Specialists are also unable to view or edit Radar settings.

View Only users can view and search through all the customer data in your account. They can’t refund payments or create new customers, and they can’t touch account settings.

You can invite multiple users at the same time by separating their email addresses with a comma or space.

If an invited user doesn’t have a Stripe account, they’ll receive an invitation to join your account via email. A user who already has another Stripe account will be prompted to log in to your account through their existing account. They can then switch seamlessly between accounts using the account dropdown menu in their dashboard.

If you have other questions about which level of permission is right for your team, please let us know! We’re happy to help.
