Passkeys offer a secure, passwordless login to the Stripe Dashboard using biometrics (such as Touch ID, Windows Hello, or Face ID), a device PIN, or a hardware security key.

Supported browsers

These browsers have passkey support:

• Chrome (version 108 and higher)
• Firefox (version 122 and higher)
  • Passkeys only work on Firefox if you select the "Sign in with passkey" option. They don’t work for two-step authentication due to browser limitations.
• Microsoft Edge (version 108 and higher)
• Safari (version 16.1 and higher)
• Opera (version 97 and higher)

Supported devices

These operating systems have passkey support:

• iOS (version 16 and higher)
• macOS (version 13 and higher)
• Windows (version 11 and higher)
• Android (version 9 and higher)
  • The Stripe Dashboard Mobile App on Android does not support passkeys.
  • You can use Android device passkeys to sign in from a supported browser on that device or from a different device.
