We calculate your Stripe Identity fees based on your usage each month, according to the type of verification performed and your location (not the location of the identity verified).
A verification is considered to have been completed when you receive a Verification report
which has a status of verified
or unverified
. You will not be billed while a Verification report
remains in the "pending" status.
We will deduct the Stripe Identity fees from your Stripe balance at the beginning of each month based on the prior month's usage. If you do not have sufficient funds in your Stripe balance to cover the fees or your balance becomes negative by more than US$10 (or equivalent), we will automatically debit your bank account for any remaining amounts owed if your country and bank account supports auto debits.
If auto-debiting fails (or is not supported) and your Stripe balance is negative for at least ten days, we may disable your access to Stripe Identity. We will only re-enable access to Identity once your Stripe balance is no longer negative.
To prevent any disruptions, you can add funds to your Stripe account. Note that it takes one to three days to complete any transfers, so please ensure that you are actively managing your balance.
Stripe reserves the right to bill you on a daily basis if you have not established a past history of successful payments or if Stripe reasonably perceives a risk of non-payment from your account.
If your location is not listed, Stripe Identity is either not yet available or is still in beta in your area. We'll update this page when that changes.
