# Access advanced network settings on Terminal smart readers

Terminal smart readers like the WisePOS E and the Stripe Reader S700/S710 have advanced network settings that you can access directly on the device.
## Admin passcode
The default admin passcode for a smart reader is 07139. See the reader setup guides for the [BBPOS WisePOS E](https://docs.stripe.com/terminal/readers/bbpos-wisepos-e) and [Stripe Reader S700/S710](https://docs.stripe.com/terminal/readers/stripe-reader-s700). The admin menu includes WiFi, reader registration, and device diagnostic settings.

## Advanced network settings
1. To access the **Settings** menu, swipe right from the left edge of the reader screen.
1. Tap **Settings** and enter your admin passcode.
   - The default admin passcode is 07139, or enter your [custom admin passcode](https://docs.stripe.com/terminal/fleet/admin-menu-passcode) if you have one.
1. From the **Admin** page, navigate to **Network settings**.
1. Tap the WiFi network to connect to or enter the network details manually.
1. Enter the WiFi network password.
1. After connecting, tap **Connected Network** to open **Advanced** settings.
1. Make any changes and tap **Save** to apply.
