In addition, the BBPOS WisePOS E runs on a modern Android-based operating system, allowing it to be updated with new features for fleet management, additional use cases, and more.

CAN I CONTINUE USING MY VERIFONE P400?

Stripe stopped selling the Verifone P400 reader on September 13, 2021. New features and functionality, such as on-reader tipping and additional country support, are available on the WisePOS E and Stripe Reader S700.

After October 1, 2024, Stripe will move the Verifone P400 reader to end of life status; this means that the reader will no longer be able to process transactions or receive customer support or critical software updates after this date.

As the reader will be moved to end of life status, we recommend that you transition to the BBPOS WisePOS E or Stripe Reader S700. No additional integration work is required to change to these readers.

DOES THE WISEPOS E OFFER ETHERNET CONNECTIVITY?

The WisePOS E connects to your web-based or mobile point of sale application via WiFI or Ethernet. Ethernet connectivity requires the use of an optional dock, which provides hardwired ethernet connectivity while also keeping your smart reader fully charged using the included charging cable.
