# Bank debits: Transaction size and weekly volume limits

Bank debits such as [ACH Direct Debit](https://docs.stripe.com/payments/ach-direct-debit), [BACS Direct Debit](https://docs.stripe.com/payments/payment-methods/bacs-debit), [BECS Direct Debit](https://docs.stripe.com/payments/au-becs-debit), [Canadian PADs](https://docs.stripe.com/payments/acss-debit) and [SEPA Direct Debit](https://docs.stripe.com/payments/sepa-debit) are subject to limits on both transaction size and weekly volume.
Since bank debits are not guaranteed payment methods and it takes several business days to confirm they've succeeded, we impose limits on their use to protect our users from the risk that can arise from these payment methods including failed payments and large disputes.
We regularly review and may adjust limits based on account history and risk factors. As your business grows, your limits may be adjusted to accommodate your needs. Reach out to Stripe Support if your business needs to process large charges through a bank debit method.
