Autopayout creation timing

When do autopayouts get created?

Stripe typically creates autopayouts one or more days before the payout is scheduled to land to account. The time between payout creation and when it shows up in your account is called preflighting time and the length varies depending on the country and currency of the payout. The status of payouts during this time is in-transit.

The exact timing of payouts creation varies. We’re actively working to make them faster from creation to completion. Don’t build integrations or business processes that depend on autopayouts always being created a certain number of days in advance.

Creating autopayouts too early increases the risk of issues such as negative balances due to refunds, disputes, and transfers and it gives Stripe less time to detect and prevent fraudulent activity.

Why are my future autopayouts not showing up in the Dashboard?

In the Dashboard, in-transit payouts show up in the On the way to your bank section on the Balances page

In certain regions we have no preflighting time at all. In those cases an autopayout might never show up as in-transit and would just go straight to paid.

Why can’t I see the transaction report for my future payouts?

Transaction reports are only available after payouts are created. Check the Upcoming to your bank section in the Balances page of the Dashboard to see estimated amounts of future payouts before they've been created. However, until a payout is created the amount and transaction list isn’t final since refunds, transfers, or other balance transactions could still be created and end up being included in the payout.

In regions with no preflighting that means you can’t get transaction reports until the same day that payouts are expected to arrive. To get an estimated idea of which balance transactions will be included in the payout for a specific date, view all balance transactions on the Balances > All Activity page in the Dashboard. Stripe does its best to make sure that Balance Transactions will be included in the next autopayout on/after they become available, so merchants on daily autopayouts can filter the activity page by a future Available on date to see which transactions will be paid out on that day.
