Accepted documents for verification in Brazil

In some cases, Stripe will require you to provide an image of your photo ID to confirm your identity. We'll need to capture an image of your government-issued photo ID, such as a driving licence, in your Dashboard. Please do not send images of your photo ID to Stripe via email. This is sensitive information and should only be uploaded via the Dashboard.

These are the accepted documents for verification in Brazil:

Account representative(s) personal verification - Carteira de Motorista (CNH) (driving licence)
- Carteira de Identidade (RG) (national ID) with the CPF number
- Passaporte de estrangeiros (non-Brazilian shareholders only)
Company/entity verification - Contrato Social (articles of association)
- Estatuto Social (by-laws)
- Certificado da Condição de Microempreendedor Individual/CCMEI (MEI certificate)
- Requerimento de Empresário Individual (enrolment document of the individual entrepreneur)
- Declaração de Enquadramento de Empresa de Pequeno Porte – EPP (declaration of small business category)
- Ato Constitutivo da EIRELI (EIRELI incorporation document)

Once you have uploaded a document for verification, reviews can take up to 24 hours to be completed by our team – you will receive a notification once your details have been verified.

The information in the document must match the information provided for your Stripe account registration. To avoid issues with your account verification, please confirm that the business/personal information listed on your Stripe account is correct before uploading a document. You can view and edit your Stripe business information in the Dashboard.
