# Accept in-person payments with the Stripe Dashboard mobile app

The [Stripe Dashboard mobile app](https://docs.stripe.com/dashboard/mobile) lets you accept in-person payments on your iOS or Android device, no additional hardware or code needed. Customers can pay with Tap to Pay, QR codes (payment links), and more. This article covers account setup and how to verify your access before accepting payments.

## Get started
### Account and log in
You need an active Stripe account to log in and use the app. If you don't have one, [create a Stripe account](https://dashboard.stripe.com/register).
### Confirm your access
Before you accept in-person payments, confirm the following:
* Your [user role](https://docs.stripe.com/get-started/account/teams/roles) can accept payments. Users with the **Support specialist** and **View-only** roles can’t accept payments.
* Your country [supports in-person payment features](https://docs.stripe.com/terminal/overview#availability) for contactless payments, such as Tap to Pay.
* You've enabled 2FA and [verified your phone number](https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/user).
