# Why are there debits in my bank account?

Your platform may debit your account for reasons such as:
- Charging for their products or services
- Recovering funds for a previous refund
- Correcting an error or making a balance adjustment
When your platform debits your account, the funds move from your Stripe balance to theirs. You can view your balance activity in your [Express dashboard](http://connect.stripe.com/app/express).
