Understanding the status of your payout

View all your payouts and the date that they are expected to arrive in your account in the Balance Tab of your Stripe Express Dashboard.

Paused

When your payouts are paused, you can’t transfer funds to your bank account, debit card, or any other external source. These payouts may be paused if we are missing required information about your tax status, or you have other outstanding requirements due for your account. Your account may continue to receive payments while payouts are paused, but you will not be able to transfer the funds to your bank account, debit card, or any other external source. If successfully submitted a W-8/W9 tax form through Stripe Express and there are no other outstanding requirements, your payouts should be unpaused within two business days.

Blocked

When your payments are blocked, it means you cannot receive payments through a platform that you work with. Payments may be blocked if we are missing required information about your tax status or you have other outstanding requirements due for your account. If you successfully submitted a W-8/W-9 tax form through Stripe Express and there are no other outstanding requirements, your payments should be unblocked within two business days.

Missing

If you have not received a payout you were expecting My payout is missing, changed, or postponed

Failed

A failed payout means your bank could not receive the payout for some reason and sent the funds back to Stripe. Payouts may appear “missing” during the couple of business days it takes the funds to make it back to Stripe. See the reason for the failure in the Dashboard: Where can I view recent payouts and transactions?

The vast majority of failed payouts are from incorrect bank details. See how to update your payout details.

Cancelled

When payouts are cancelled it is usually because they were manually cancelled by Stripe at your request.
