# I lost my phone or changed my number – how do I log in to my account?

If you've lost your phone or changed your number, you can update the number used for SMS authentication when you log in to Stripe Express.
1. Go to [connect.stripe.com/express_login](http://connect.stripe.com/express_login) and enter the email address for your account.
1. On the next screen where a 6-digit verification code is requested, select **I no longer have access to this phone number**.
1. Follow the subsequent steps to authenticate your request and add a new phone number to the account.
Alternatively, if you no longer have access to your phone number, you can update this by logging into the Express Dashboard with email authentication.
1. Go to [connect.stripe.com/express_login](http://connect.stripe.com/express_login) and enter the email address for your account.
1. On the next screen where a 6-digit verification code is requested, select **Verify with email instead**.
1. A 6-digit code will be sent to your email. Enter this code to login.
1. Once you've logged in to the Express Dashboard, click **Settings**.
1. Click the **Profile settings** tab and update the phone number listed in your **Authentication details**.
