# How do I manage my payouts?

Your platform sets the payout schedules available to you. They can set it to automatic or manual, or give you the option to choose. The payout schedule determines how you receive funds from your Stripe balance.
## Set your payout schedule
If your platform has enabled the **Edit payout schedule** feature, you can choose between an automatic or manual payout schedule.
1. Log in to your [Stripe Express dashboard](https://connect.stripe.com/express_login).
1. From the **Balance** tab, click **See details** underneath your total balance.
1. Click **Update** at the lower-right corner.
   - If you don't see the **Update** button, contact your platform for help.
1. Select **Automatic** or **Manual** for your payout schedule.
1. If you select **Automatic**, choose whether you'd like payouts to be **Daily**, **Weekly**, or **Monthly**.
## Initiate a manual payout
If your platform has enabled **Manual payouts** and your payout schedule is set to manual, you'll need to initiate a payout to receive funds from your Stripe balance.
1. Log in to your [Stripe Express dashboard](https://connect.stripe.com/express_login).
1. From the **Balance** tab, click **Pay out**.
   - If you don't see the **Pay out** button, your platform hasn't enabled this feature.
1. Select **Standard**.
1. Enter the amount and click **Payout**.
