# How do I manage my account’s funds to fix any negative balances?

The **refunds and disputes** balance is a way for you to cover negative balances incurred by refunds or disputes. You can pay back a current negative balance or set aside funds for refunds and chargebacks to avoid any future negative balances. **Refunds and disputes** balance doesn't come from processed payments, but from money added to the **refunds and disputes** balance.
### To add money to your **refunds and disputes** balance:
1. From the Balances tab, click Add to balance.
1. Enter the amount that you’d like to add to your **refunds and disputes** balance.
The money you add in will stay in your Stripe **refunds and disputes** balance and any negative balances will be deducted from this balance.
### To withdraw money from your **refunds and disputes** balance:
1. From the Balances tab, click the Payout button located under the **refunds and disputes** balance.
1. Enter the amount you would like to withdraw.
