# Confirm your tax status with a W-8 or W-9 form

Use your [Stripe Express Dashboard](https://connect.stripe.com/app/express) to complete a W-8 or W-9 form and confirm your tax status. Provide your individual or business name, Taxpayer Identification Number, and address. You also sign and certify your tax status.
Your platform might require this information during onboarding or after you reach a payment threshold.
